We believe that children learn best in a supportive, loving, home-like environment where they are encouraged by caring adults who observe and learn beside them. We believe that children should be given time, appropriate materials, and engage in meaningful interactions to develop intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our Educators.
The teachers in our center are advocates for our students and encourage them to express themselves in an open and safe environment. As they listen and learn with each child, they observe and guide the learning process and empower children to make sense of our world.
We use our classrooms, outdoor spaces, and materials to ignite learning in every room at every age!
We are big on building relationships with not only our students, but with our families as well. These relationships we build serve as a foundation for trust and giving the children a secure sense of self. We believe that it does indeed take a village to raise a child and we are here to help.
Reggio Inspired Curriculum.
Our emergent curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy that children should be able to pursue their own interests. We aim to create learning experiences that are hands on, flexible, interest-based, and fun.
At Charley Brown learning and play are united. When the children are truly engaged in what they are learning, the opportunities for inspiration in education are endless.
Music with Mr. Ryan!
The incredible Mr. Ryan visits our campus once a week! He facilitates a music program with our Three Year Old and Pre-K classes, which is often the highlight of everyone’s week.
The children explore the basics of music fundamentals, different musical genres, and a plethora of instruments all while having fun!
It’s nearly impossible to leave Mr. Ryan without a smile on your face.
